Norfolk Children’s Services – the Virtual School for Children in CareNorfolk Children’s Services has taken a national lead in developing the concept of the Virtual School for children in care as part of the development of its corporate parenting responsibilities. The school has established a headteacher of the virtual school, appointed key staff and set up a governing body. We aim to oversee the education of Norfolk's looked after children as if we were managing a single school. The Virtual School works with our partners, schools, social workers, carers, and other professional organisations to achieve our goals. We aim to ensure that every child in care benefits from the opportunity to gain a first class education from early years through to further and higher education.
