The fully-funded support offers a comprehensive and flexible programme, providing schools and settings with the guidance and tools to meet the needs of children and young people (CYP) with English as an additional language (EAL).

The Department for Education (DfE) Regional Prevent Co-ordinator Team are delivering some virtual training sessions for DSLs, school governors and trustees throughout October, November and December 2024.

In support of national Cycle to School week, 23rd - 27th September 2024, Norfolk County Council Road Safety Team are encouraging Norfolk schools to make their 'pledge to pedal' this year.

Fully funded training for Playworkers in Wraparound Provision - 'Playworkers - Prepare to Play' will explore playwork theory, play environments, engagements and interventions, as well as creating an action plan for change. Also, two courses on nutrition - 'Building Healthy Bodies and Engaged Brains' and 'Supporting Food Allergies and Intolerances' - essential training to build knowledge on fuelling children to achieve their best and getting creative with healthy swaps for those with allergies and intolerances.

Many SENDCOs review and update their setting's SEN Information Report (SIR) at the beginning of the autumn term. We are pleased to share that the SIR Best Practice Guide has been updated to help you.

Children's University is a national charity hosted throughout Norfolk by respected Multi-Academy Trust, Unity Schools Partnership. It offers an outstanding programme of personal development proven to positively impact attendance and promote a love of learning in all children. Children's University is proven to help with ways to increase attendance, engagement and attainment across your school.
