Specialist partners

Each Specialist Resource Base (SRB) also has access to a specialist partner who has a broad remit to:

Provide operational oversight, support and challenge to each SRB and SRB specialism
Ensure that SRB services operate consistently, offer best evidence-based practice, and therefore offer enhanced outcomes for learners who use the services

Key areas of work for specialist partners are to:

Coordinate termly professional network meetings between all providers and partners for a specialism (themes will include a check and challenge against operating standards, best practice nationally and training needs so that there can be a centralised professional development offer)
Lead on the development of ongoing training and professional development opportunities, including minimum core and desirable training requirements for all SRB staff, a skills audit and continued professional development cycle of opportunities
Provide recruitment support to SRBs
Quality assure SRB operating models routinely against specification to ensure consistency of practice, providing support and challenge where necessary
Lead moderation across the specialism
