Equality, diversity and community cohesion

The Equality Act 2010 requires schools to publish one or more equality objectives every four years from 6 April 2012. The Department for Education has published detailed guidance for schools concerning the Equality Act 2010.

The number and nature of these objectives must be proportionate to the size of the school. The objectives must be specific and measurable and the school must demonstrate compliance with the aims of the Public Sector Equality Duty.
