NQT support

The support, advice and guidance available for NQTs from Norfolk Appropriate Body (NAB)

Norfolk Appropriate Body (NAB) is the largest, most experienced local Appropriate Body. We continue to provide schools and NQTs with a robust programme of support, advice and guidance.

Our scheme is underpinned by our drive to recruit and retain the best teachers. We ensure compliance of the statutory regulations so all NQTs receive a personalised programme of support to give them the best start.

We continue to offer:

  • Support from a dedicated, experienced team
  • Access to a suite of resources
  • Termly workshops for NQTs
  • Mentor training
  • Support package for vulnerable NQTs

In consideration of the potential challenges caused by the current situation we will be enhancing our provision of support. This will include a revised CPD offer. We will be working collaboratively with local ITT providers, schools and professional bodies to ensure provision to meet local needs.

Full information will be issued once arrangements are in place.

Registering your NQT with NAB

All schools or institutions using NAB should register their newly appointed NQTs on our electronic on-line system, NQT Manager.

NQT Manager is a paperless, online system for recording data securely, submitting assessments, accessing resources, raising alerts and managing NQTs during induction.

NQT co-ordinators and headteachers can access the system via norfolk.nqtmanager.com

How to purchase services

The charge for each NQT registered is £235 per term. Schools with more than five NQTs will receive a 10% reduction for each additional NQT.

Before you register your NQT, please check the following:

  • The NQT has QTS and is eligible to start induction
  • The NQT's last name and date of birth
