Norfolk’s Virtual School for Children in Care supports the educational progress of children in the care of Norfolk County Council, wherever they may be placed and, through support and challenge to schools, the local authority and other relevant partners, ensures they have the best possible education.

Aim of our site

The aim of our site is to provide our partners – schools, social workers, carers, and other professionals with clear and simple access to a range of useful information about looked after children and young people, a one-stop-shop providing users with: -

    • an understanding of the statutory responsibilities around looked after children

    • an awareness of best practice

    • information on what the Virtual School offer and how we can support

    • supporting forms and guidance

Spring Term 2018 Designated Teacher for LAC Newsletter. Containing key information, training offered and action points for Designated Teachers and Head teachers in relation to Norfolk looked after children placed in their schools

Deadline for applications for Pupil Premium for Looked After Children. A quick reminder regarding Pupil Premium funding for LAC. For funding to support intervention activity to improve academic outcomes for Looked After Children on your school roll, for the current financial year, you must apply by 23rd February 2018. Application forms and guidance are available within Perspective Lite. If you have any queries please contact clare.farrant@norfolk.gov.uk

Actions for All EPEP Users. Ever forgotten your password to log-in to the EPEP? You can now set up a self service password reset using a set of security questions. When next logging into the Welfare Call Extranet for the PEP store your answers to a minimum of 2 security questions. You will need to go to:-

    o My Account

    o Add an answer (from drop-down)

    o Add at least another 1 answer (2 would be better)

    This will ensure you have ability to reset a password yourself if forgotten, by answering the security questions and without having to contact Welfare Call.  

Referral process and forms for Virtual School Specialist Support. If you have a pupil requiring the input of one of our Specialist Support Assistants please complete the form and submit to the Virtual School. The flowchart explains the process.
