Devolved formula capital application guidance

The devolved formula capital (DFC) online application form (opens new window) has been designed to simplify the process for schools applying to spend DFC.

It should speed up the approval process and ensure that there are fewer requests for additional information. In order to reduce the number of returned applications, some of the fields on the form are now mandatory and will require an entry before the form can be submitted. These fields are clearly marked with the asterisk ( * ) symbol.

The form does need you to input start and completion dates, but if you don't know them just enter the best estimates.

Logging in to the form

You will need to enter your school's usual My School login and password details to access the form. If you are not the headteacher you will need their authorisation to do this.

You can partially complete an application form and return to it at a later date using the 'Save' button at the bottom of the form. Click the 'Complete and Submit' button at the bottom right of the form when you have finished.

The responsibility for calculating, approving and releasing DFC funding is shared within the Children's Services department.
