No Silver Bullet: A leadership driven approach to raising standards
VNET is committed to supporting the Norfolk KS2 challenge by offering a wide range of school improvement activities tailored to both our member schools and non-members

Raising KS2 outcomes in schools is a complex challenge. There is no silver bullet, no single solution to guarantee success. However, evidence shows that a combination of strong leadership, a positive school culture, and effective processes can create the right conditions for all children to thrive. This programme provides a practical, evidence-based framework to help you implement strategies that drive sustainable improvements in teaching, learning, and pupil achievement.
Learning Objectives:
- To reflect on current leadership strengths and areas for development
- To reflect on current educational challenges and viewpoints related to our schools
- To understand purpose and vision and how they relate to motivation and outcomes
- To develop strategies to foster a culture of high expectations and achievement
- To integrate research from change and accountability models
- To use knowledge and strategy with the aim of raising attainment at KS2.
Structure
The four half-day sessions are designed to be very interactive, enabling headteachers to reflect on the
culture, staffing and processes at their schools with the aim of raising standards.
- There are two drop-in clinic review sessions with Sonia to check on progress
- The sessions are evidenced based, with literature provided
- The resources are designed so that the training can be cascaded back to staff in school.
