How do I know what type of additional funding is available and when applications need to be made by?

We have a child with EAL and are struggling to help him communicate. What can we do?

There is some useful information within the English as an Additional Language (EAL) section on our Inclusion pages. This includes information around cultural differences, developing communication as well as top tips. There are also two EAL training courses which are highly recommended. Please also call the Early Years Duty desk if you cannot find the information you feel would help support the child.

How much does it cost to use the Language Line service and how do I access this?

This service is FREE to all early year's providers in the private, voluntary and independent sector including childminders. The actual cost of using language line is paid for by Norfolk County Council Early Years Team. More information about how to use the service can be found via the EAL section on our Inclusion pages.

I think a family would benefit from a Family Support Plan, but I have not been involved with one before and am not sure what to do?

We have a child who needs a specialist chair but we cannot afford to buy one. What can we do?

There is funding available to support Early Years providers to purchase specialist equipment that has been recommended by a child's Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physiotherapist. The web page on Early Years specialist equipment funding gives more information on what is required and how providers can apply.

How do I access information to request an Educational Health and Care Plan?
