Early Years Training Summer 2020
The early years and childcare training programme of face to face courses is currently on hold due to coronavirus. However, we have developed some online workshops that are being delivered via Zoom, in order that practitioners can still keep some statutory and professional development training up to date. You can download the documents below to see what is currently available. Further dates and titles will be added in due course.
If you would like to be kept up to date with future training opportunities and early years developments, you can subscribe to our email newsletter service. To opt in please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org requesting to be added to the mailing list. Your details will be processed in accordance with GDPR and Norfolk County Council's data and privacy policies which you can link to at the bottom of this page.
Early Years Training September 2020
Whilst we don't currently know when face to face training will be able to resume, we are working on a programme of courses for September 2020 onwards. It is likely that online training will continue for some subjects but some courses may be able to run face to face in smaller groups, whilst others may be delivered partially online and partially face to face - referred to as blended learning. We will of course adhere to any government guidance given and all approaches will meet the necessary legislation. The new training programme will be available to download from this page of the website once ready, at which point we will email those on the mailing list to advise. Therefore, if you are not already subscribed to receive updates please follow the instructions above.

Frequently asked questions
How do I pay for training?
Your setting will be invoiced once the training has taken place. You must pay promptly to avoid your future training applications being affected. Invoices not paid within the NCC payment terms will be recouped from your early years funding payment (if you are registered to provide funded early years care and education).
What happens after I've applied?
We will always email you regarding your training application. If you fail to receive any communication from us prior to the training you will need to contact us to check on the status of your application, in order to avoid any unnecessary non-attendance fees. It is the responsibility of the setting to check on the progress of applications if you fail to hear anything from us.
What should I do if I cannot attend a course?
If you are unable to attend a course you must email your name, setting and details of the course you're cancelling your place on to email@example.com
You will receive an email response with a cancellation code which you must keep should you need to dispute any non-attendance fees issued.
We do not accept cancellations by phone.
