Norfolk Library Education Service

Research shows that children who read more succeed more.

The Norfolk Education Library Service (ELS) is a specialist service dedicated to increasing children and young people’s access to and interest in reading as well as working with schools and academies to support staff and improve library provision in educational settings.

We work in all Norfolk educational settings and in educational settings in other local authority areas with no school library service.

Home educators are also welcome to get in touch to find out more about what we are able to offer them.

The expert and experienced ELS staff team support continual improvement through:

  • Loaning excellent resources, using the ELS mobile library as well as deliveries of books and resources (Norfolk ELS has almost 150,000 carefully selected books and resources)
  • Working with children and young people to inspire reading more widely and encourage independent learning and information literacy with sessions in school that add value to teaching and learning
  • Saving staff time and money by helping you stock, catalogue and organise your library/book corners as rich and dynamic environments
  • Training, motivating, inspiring and encouraging staff as well as keeping them up to date with the latest trends and developments and provide opportunities to share good practice

We operate a simple pricing structure for the services provided.
