Outdoor learning
Support for outdoor learning in educational establishments
Holt Hall
Norfolk County Council (NCC) have been conducting a review of outdoor learning in Norfolk, which included looking at our role as a provider of outdoor learning at Holt Hall.
NCC have now made the decision to cease the direct delivery of day visits and residential visits from Holt Hall with immediate effect. The Hall and estate are now closed.
We would like to thank all schools for their valued custom over the years and hope that going forward everyone is able to secure an alternative high-quality outdoor learning service.

Day visits at Whitlingham Adventure
Set within the beautiful Whitlingham Country Park based on the outskirts of Norwich, Whitlingham Adventure offers bespoke educational programmes with a range of practical, adventurous activities on either water or land. Cross curricular activities are available that combine a variety of environments and learning activities which enhance the curriculum in areas such as geography, science and maths.
All activities delivered at Whitlingham Adventure comply with the relevant National Governing Body (NGB) and with the Adventurous Activity Licensing Authority (AALA).
Research shows that learning outside the classroom can improve attendance, reduce behaviour problems, keep healthy, improve well-being, develop interest in the environment and wider surrounding, build resilience and promote independent thinking.
