Subscription services
Standard package
The Standard subscription service will give you a named Finance Support Officer dedicated to supporting similar settings, but they will only be available for one onsite visit usually in the Autumn Term. In addition, your establishment would be offered a place on a budget workshop in the spring term to enable completion of your budget with support and expertise when you may need guidance the most.
- Includes a Help line which is available Monday to Thursday 0900- 1700 and Friday 0900 - 1630. The Helpline will be on hand to support with financial systems and general enquiries which supports the operation of your educational establishment.
- Includes access to our Star Accounts Software along with our Budgeting Toolkit.
- Our training team develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes both tutor-led and E-learning based for school leaders, governors, and finance staff to successfully fulfil their duties.
- Includes an additional visit for New Headteachers and Finance Staff requiring support at the earliest opportunity. It's a bespoke visit that introduces those posts to the world of Finance and their financial management responsibilities, giving the opportunity to discuss your future training needs.
We would expect establishment subscribing to this package to have the expertise and financial skills to manage the systems and processes in isolation, additional days or time could be purchased as required.
Standard Plus service
The standard plus service includes all the above but incorporates either an additional on-site half day visit (not available for budget setting) or a 2-hour on-site training course for your school leaders and governors plus the reassurance of having a routine financial health check that will give assurance to the leadership of the school that efficient and effective financial controls are in place, which reduce the risk of fraud.
Training courses can be selected from our comprehensive portfolio of tutor-led sessions or an on-site visit can be attended by your FSO/member of our business and technical support team to cover topics such as:
- Staff Monitoring
- Setting up and reporting on effective use of department codes
- Financial Benchmarking
- Support with ICFP
- Support with completion of SFVS
- School staff structure solutions
Enhanced service
Our enhanced subscription service ensures your educational establishment is allocated a named Finance Support Officer dedicated to supporting similar settings, they will be available for four on site visits spread across the academic year ensuring your establishment is supported with budget preparation, budget monitoring and general financial processes and management which may be required.
- Includes a Helpline which is available Monday to Thursday 0900-1700 and Friday 0900-1630. The Helpline will be on hand to support with financial systems and general enquiries which supports the operation of your educational establishment.
- Includes access to our Star Accounts Software along with our Budgeting Toolkit. In addition, our Training Team develops and delivers comprehensive training programmes both tutor-led and E-learning based for school leaders, governors, and finance staff to successfully fulfil their duties.
- Includes an additional visit for new headteachers and finance staff requiring support at the earliest opportunity. It's a bespoke visit that introduces those posts to the world of finance and their financial management responsibilities, giving the opportunity to discuss your future training needs.
It's a support package that gives a well-rounded offer which delivers when you need it most. We can offer additional support to add greater depth which would incur additional cost.

Additional support
Educational settings can purchase additional time to support with the financial management activities or use the time to receive expert advice over and above our usual Service Level Agreement subscription services. It would be expected this time would be purchased in advance of any planned onsite visit where you expect the meeting to require more than 3 hours with options of:
- Level 1 - Finance Support Officer Visit (3 hour onsite)
- Level 2 - Finance Officer Visit (3 hour onsite)
