Beyond Limits Alumni Scheme
The Beyond Limits alumni scheme aims to support children, educators, and employers by celebrating the achievements and successes of our Virtual School alumni mentors. Mentors are Norfolk care-experienced individuals aged 18+ who have successfully navigated education, employment, apprenticeships, and other pathways.
We want to empower young people by connecting them with mentors with similar lived experiences. The scheme aims to inspire, guide, and raise aspirations through storytelling, support, and visibility. The scheme will build a community of resilience and encouragement, helping our young people see what's possible.
Mentors will:
- Provide real-life examples of success against a backdrop of challenges
- Offer relatable advice, encouragement, and inspiration
- Encourage peer-led support through shared stories and achievements
- Boost aspirations and confidence
- Help inform educators and employers how best to support our young people
Mentors will share their stories through case studies and videos which you can view below.
Mentors can be booked to speak in schools or settings, to meet with young people and can also support at training events and conferences. To enquire about booking a mentor please contact [email protected] .
