The Inspiration Trust, a multi-academy trust based in Norfolk and north Suffolk, collaborates with the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT) to offer various pathways into teaching, catering to diverse backgrounds and career aspirations. The trust support a family of 18 academies and train an increasing amount of teachers annually, in our region.

  1. Tuition-Fee Funded Route: Aimed at individuals seeking a comprehensive training experience, this route involves paying tuition fees for the programme. Trainees engage in a blend of theoretical learning and practical classroom experience, leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with 60 master's level credits.
  2. Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA): An alternative employed route where trainees are employed by a school as unqualified teachers while completing their training. Combines on-the-job training with academic study, leading to QTS and a Level 6 apprenticeship. Course fees are covered by the apprenticeship levy, making this route cost-effective for trainees.
