Positive impact examples from wraparound provision.

Acle St Edmund C of E Primary Academy - Expanding outdoor space

Close Acle St Edmund Primary outdoor areas

The school has expanded its outdoor provision so children of different ages can play safely in spaces that suit their needs. Older pupils use the field and football goals, while younger children prefer the playground, trim trail, and garden games. Staff now coordinate activity across multiple areas, supported by walkie talkies to ensure safety and effective supervision. Additional improvements, such as outdoor lighting, are being explored, and all provisions are in place to support children with additional needs.

North Elmham Primary School Breakfast Club

North Elmham Primary School's breakfast club is a brilliant example of how wraparound funding can support schools to respond to community need and create meaningful opportunities for children and families. Building on local demand, the school has developed a welcoming and flexible provision that gives children a positive, calm start to the day while supporting parents to access or return to work. Through thoughtful planning and collaboration with families, the provision has evolved into a sustainable model that benefits children's wellbeing, strengthens peer relationships, and enhances readiness to learn.
