Two new guides for SENDCos and parents and carers

There are two new guides available now for SENDCos, Inclusion Leads, and Class Teachers.
Guidance and Resources for SENDCos and Inclusion Leads
It gives information for teachers working at early years, primary, secondary and post-16. It covers where to find training in Norfolk, brings together information about the SEND services available to support you, gives a brief overview of the Local First Inclusion programme and provides key contact details for Norfolk County Council teams.
A Guide for Parents and Carers
Supporting your child at school is a document that can be printed or shared digitally. It explains SEN Support Plans, SRBs, EHCPs and where to get further help. It's intended use is for teachers to share as a follow up to conversations with parents and carers. We've developed this guide following feedback that some schools would like support with communicating with parents around SEN Support.
Both guides are also available on the Inclusion and SEND Learning Network Sharepoint site. If you are already a member of this Sharepoint site, you should be able to access them. If you are not a member and would like access, please to email kristina.fox@norfolk.gov.uk and ask to be added.
We will add further resources to the Sharepoint site during the next academic year.
We welcome feedback on these guides, please send any feedback or queries to the email above.
