Reminder - 'Name Our Gritters' competition's deadline is 24 October

We're excited to announce the return of the popular "Name Our Gritters" competition.

This year, all infant and junior schools across Norfolk are invited to take part. Winning entries will be proudly displayed on the sides of our gritters as they head out to keep the county's roads safe. There will also be opportunities for schools to receive a visit from a real gritting vehicle- an exciting opportunity for pupils to explore a gritter up close!

Whether it's a pun, a pop culture reference, or something totally original, we want to hear your ideas! It's a great opportunity for pupils to get involved in a real-world project, spark their imaginations and learn about what our gritters do in the cold winter months.

Entries close on Wednesday 24 October and you are allowed 6 entries per school. You can enter individual pupil's ideas or collectively as classes.

To enter, please complete the Name Our Gritters 2025 form by 24 October.

Winners will be announced on 3 November.
