Element 3 Funding: Keeping SEND information up to date
We're writing to remind you of messages we have communicated over the last year that advise schools to keep their SEND information up to date and accurate. This is good practice for schools, so they have a current picture of the needs of their cohorts and the provision that's in place to support children.
The information also forms the foundation of decisions made that support settings through Element 3 funding, therefore we recommend the following are reviewed:
INDES (Identification of Needs in Educational Settings) -for all CYP in your setting with additional needs (including those that join mid-phase) using the INDES webform. These only need to be resubmitted if there is a change in presenting need.
- IPSEF (Inclusion and Provision Self-Evaluation Framework) - reviewed and updated as an integral part of your cycle of a school's overall self-evaluation and development planning IPSEF webform
- GPM (Graduated Provision Map) - reviewed to evaluate impact on children's outcomes and that funds supporting the implementation of the map are being used in the most effective and efficient way. Should you need support with this, please raise it with your Team Around a School (TAS).
If you have any questions or require support with updates, please raise this with your TAS.
Thank you for your continued support.
