This practical, interactive session is for educators who want to better understand sensory needs and create more supportive environments for their students. We'll explore how sensory needs present, how to recognise and respond to them, and what simple changes can make a big difference. You'll also be introduced to key audit tools for spaces and individuals.

You'll also explore some practical sensory activities that can support regulation, focus, and wellbeing, and begin to build your own action plan using ideas from Becoming a Sensory-Aware School: A Toolkit to Develop a Whole School Approach for Sensory Wellbeing. All Norfolk PINS schools have been issued a copy of the book, so do bring yours along with sticky notes to flag key pages. Please also bring an internet-enabled phone or tablet to join in with the interactive Menti meter slides. The presentation will last up to 1.5hours with 30minutes at the end for open Q&A discussion.
