Practice Week takes place in May and November each year, facilitated by Children's Services but planned and delivered by multi-agency organisations.

It offers a week of informal, hour-long online learning events, and an online midweek conference. The aim is to share information and ideas, encourage discussion and strengthen relationships and working practices across the partnership, keeping the voices of children and families front and centre.

The next Practice Week is taking place Monday 18 to Friday 22 May 2026, titled by young people 'The Art of Individuality', taking it's theme from the I in the Flourish  ambition. You can read the brochure on the NSCP website below.

In addition to the online events, you also have the opportunity to subscribe to receive daily emails filled with material produced by young people in their own words. It's a unique opportunity to hear from children and young people about how they feel about their own individuality and identities and learn what we can do to support them.

To subscribe, please provide your details below.

The midweek conference 'Identity beyond the crowd' brings together two powerful voices - Alex Manners and King Simpson - to explore neurodiversity, care experience and what we can do to shape communities, respecting everyone's unique identity and individuality.
