Product safety alert: Asbestos in consumer products

Norfolk Trading Standards are wishing to highlight to school staff and parents the ongoing product safety recalls of asbestos contaminated sand products such as craft and art kits, squishy/stretchy toys, dig kits, sand activity toys and science kits from multiple suppliers.

Schools and parents are asked to check items of this type in use to determine whether they are affected by the recall action and follow the disposal action detailed on the website. Recalls are expected to continue in the coming weeks so please check the OPSS webpage periodically.
