Eligibility - Big Norfolk Holiday Fun
We are busy preparing behind the scenes for this summer's Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme, but we need your support to help us reach the children and families who would benefit most.
Every year, many eligible children miss out on accessing our free holiday activities and meals. Often, these are some of the most vulnerable children in our communities. As trusted adults, your role in sharing information with parents and carers is incredibly important.
How you can help
1. Encourage families to apply for Free School Meals
Please make sure eligible families have applied for benefits-related Free School Meals.
Families can apply here: Free school meals - Norfolk County Council
Registering for Free School Meals not only helps families access support but also enables schools to receive additional Government funding through the Pupil Premium. This funding can support extra tuition, teaching resources, enrichment opportunities and after-school activities.
2. Refer children who may benefit from an awarded place
Some children may not meet the eligibility criteria for Free School Meals but would still greatly benefit from attending the programme.
Please ensure these children are referred for an awarded place using the referral form here: Big Norfolk Holiday Fun: CYP Professionals
3. Help promote the programme
Please support us by promoting the programme through your school communication channels, including your school Facebook page and newsletters. Families can start to book activities on Sunday, 21 June on our booking system Eequ.

Thank you for your continued support in helping us reach children and families across Norfolk. By working together, we can ensure more children have access to healthy meals, enriching activities and safe spaces during the school holidays.
