Don't miss out - Sign up now for the Summer Communication Hubs
Following our latest episode of The Norfolk Early Years Podcast, "Let's Talk... Nurturing Emotional Literacy", we are delighted to welcome early years trainer and published author Molly Potter, who will be joining us to explore:
Emotional Intelligence and Supporting Children's Behaviour
In this fascinating session, we will explore how to:
- Describe and validate children's feelings to promote greater emotional awareness
- Develop children's emotional vocabulary as they grow
- Support children through difficult feelings and periods of dysregulation
- Take a more curious approach to understanding and supporting children's behaviour
- Model and teach emotional check-ins
- Help children understand and manage their own emotional responses
We will also consider how we can strengthen our own emotional intelligence as practitioners. Through greater self-awareness and practical strategies, we can build stronger, healthier relationships and create emotionally safe environments for children and adults alike.
All Norfolk Communication Hub meetings are face-to-face, fully funded, and packed with high-quality CPD opportunities.
So, if you are looking for local professional support in speech, language and communication, with opportunities to ask questions and learn from a speech and language therapist, then these sessions are for you.
