Bikeability - Be Switched On: FREE bike lights offer
Our Be Switched On free bike lights offer will be helping young cyclists improve their visibility when riding.
Only 26 percent children aged between 10 and 11 years report having a front and rear light on their bike. (NCC survey in 2025-26.)
Norfolk County Council Road Safety Team are delighted to announce additional funding to continue to offer front and back cycle lights to children who complete their Level 2 Bikeability Course from NCC's commissioned Bikeability providers. (Subject to available stock levels)
This is part the wider Norfolk 'Be Switched On' campaign that aims to reach young cyclists to:
- Enable more access to both a front and back bicycle lights.
- Promote the benefits of using bike lights both during the day and at night.
- Support young people to travel safely when moving to secondary school.
