For Parents / Carers

Fraud & Cyber Protect (Eastern Region) is offering the following two-part training for parents and carers to help them take measures to protect themselves and their family online. Their sessions are hosted online using Microsoft Teams and are all free to attend.

These sessions will be suitable for parents and carers of children in Year 5 (age 9) and above. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn and ask questions regarding their child's online world and shouldn't be missed!

Please note there are two parts to the parent events, and they will need to register for each independently.

  • Part 1 - Online Safeguarding & Introduction to Cyber Choices (in partnership with the NSPCC): Introduces the Cyber Choices programme; sessions are available for:
    • 6 July
    • 23 September
    • 10 November
  • Part 2 - Practical Tools and Techniques to Improve Your Family's Cyber Security: Advice and guidance from the session will be in line with the Government's Stop! Think Fraud and the National Cyber Security Centres CyberAware campaigns; sessions are available for:
    • 13 July
    • 30 September
    • 17 November

For more information about each session, parents should go to the Webinars | Eastern Region Protect page and then click on the Parents tab. To book a place, click on the desired session.
