Call for feedback about The Norfolk Inclusive Practice Framework (formerly PEaSS)
As you may remember seeing in a previous Together from 21 April 2026, as part of Local First Inclusion Project 2 (Ordinarily Available Provision plus ESP Process Development), we have undertaken a review of the tools available to support settings in shaping their inclusive provision as part of their Ordinarily Available Provision.
Up to this point, development has been overseen by representatives from across all sectors, including Family Voice, to ensure the framework reflects a broad range of perspectives.
The reviewed tool is called the Norfolk Inclusive Practice Framework (NIPF), which combines the Early Years OAP and the PEaSS (Provision Expected at SEN Support). The framework is now being hosted as a webpage. A draft version will be available here (add link) later this week, so please check back and take a look.
We would really value as much feedback from the education sector as possible to ensure that the Norfolk Inclusive Practice Framework (NIPF) is useful for professionals working in a range of settings, from Early Years through schools and into Post-16.
As outlined in the previous Together, we are holding a hybrid consultation on 6 July, 12-1pm. If you are able to attend, please complete this Reviewed PEaSS Consultation (6 July) form.
We have also created a survey to gather feedback from colleagues who may be unable to attend the consultation. This Norfolk Inclusive Practice Framework (formerly known as PEaSS) Consultation Feedback survey can be completed using this link.
Please could we ask that you share the above link widely with your colleagues (including leaders, teachers and support staff), so that we can gather as much feedback as possible on the draft Norfolk Inclusive Practice Framework (NIPF).
The survey will be open until 24 July, and we will use the feedback gathered to inform our continued development of the tool over the summer holidays, ready for use in settings from September.
In the next stage of the project, we will be working collaboratively with children and young people (CYP) and their families to develop a CYP-and family-facing accessible version of the tool. We will seek feedback from CYP and their families once this is drafted. If you have any CYP or families in your setting who you think would like the opportunity to provide feedback on this version of the framework, please do share the above link with them.
Many thanks in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the consultation session on 6 July.
