The National Literacy Trust has produced a comprehensive National Year of Reading toolkit, designed to equip teachers and practitioners with key dates, information and assets to help you inspire your pupils and implement plans to boost reading engagement.

Following the move for delivery from Norfolk Governor Services to the Education Safeguarding Team, there are now further dates available for this important training session.

We are consulting with education settings on the updated Norfolk School Attendance Strategy, which reflects current priorities and best practice. Please complete the short survey by Friday 6 February to help shape the accompanying action plan.

The DfE is launching the RISE Attendance and Behaviour Hubs Programme to help schools strengthen their practice through shared learning and targeted support. Schools interested in either light‑touch or more intensive support are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest. The Norfolk Learning Collaborative  is also interesting in schools able to offer peer support in its programme.

Designated Teachers/SENCo's, who have responsibility for writing and overseeing the setting of targeted outcomes for children within our Virtual School Cohorts, are invited to this training on 17 March.

The Fleming Initiative Education Project at Imperial College London is inviting secondary school students (aged 13-18) to take part in creative workshops to help shape this new programme.
