Norfolk Virtual School Celebrating Success Scheme
Overview
From September 2025 the incentive and engagement scheme will cease. Instead, we will be launching our Celebrating Success Scheme. This scheme is inclusive of wider achievements in education and allows the successes of all our children and young people in our different cohorts to be recognised throughout the academic year.
Why we are doing this
Our Celebrating Success Schemes is a way to recognise our children and young people's efforts, achievements, and behaviours. It will help build confidence and sends the message that every kind of progress and achievement matters. We aim to make children feel seen and valued.
Nominations
Nominations are added by Virtual School staff to the Celebrating Success Spreadsheet.
Nomination categories
- Exceptional learning
- Engagement in school/setting (e.g. Duke of Edinburgh, organising the school prom, school productions, shows/performances)
- Improved attendance
- Other achievements
When to nominate
There will be key times when Virtual School staff make nominations such when signing of PEPs or being alerted to an achievement by other professionals including SW/PAs, IROs, DTs or foster carers.
Other keys times will be after a data drop, or an event organised by the Virtual School.
Recognition and reward
The nominations will be reviewed monthly and children and young people who have received a nomination will be sent a personalised letter, a certificate and a voucher or book token.
