Help us build a reference library - Guidance for parents regarding school absence 2025-26

As we begin the new academic year, we are creating a central reference library of the NCC Penalty Notices regarding school absence - Guidance for Parents 2025-26 documents issued by schools (previously referred to as the Warning Letter).  

While we provide a standard template containing mandatory information, we know that schools often personalise this guidance to reflect their own context and messaging. To support consistency and best practice across Norfolk, we are asking schools to send us a copy of the version they have sent out to parents for the 2025-26 academic year.  

Having access to these customised versions will:  

• Help us understand how schools are communicating with families  
• Ensure all documents meet the necessary legal standards  
• Support smoother processing of Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) throughout the year
