Pol-Ed: Putting RSHE delivery into practice webinar
As schools prepare for the new statutory Relationships, Sex, and Health Education (RSHE) guidance, which becomes compulsory in September 2026, the need for a robust, evidence-based curriculum is paramount.
We invite you to watch this webinar to discover how Pol-Ed serves as a vital tool to support your school's RSHE delivery. The webinar will be particularly useful to those settings who have not yet registered with Pol-Ed or who are still embedding Pol-Ed in their RSHE and wider personal development curriculum.
The positives of Pol-Ed
- Total statutory RSHE alignment: Subject matter experts have performed a line-by-line mapping exercise against the new DfE guidance to ensure every statutory requirement is met. Through a spiral curriculum design, topics such as consent are introduced age-appropriately, moving from "safe hands" in EYFS to romantic relationships in secondary phases.
- Safeguarding as a core pillar: Safeguarding is integrated into every lesson. Each session concludes with a final safeguarding slide, consistently reminding pupils to reach out to a trusted adult with any concerns.
- A trauma-informed, safe approach: Pol-Ed uses distancing techniques and anonymised case studies to explore high-harm topics - including domestic abuse, grooming, and online safety - without using shock tactics or inviting distressing personal disclosures.
- Data-driven and responsive: The programme allows you to use local crime data to create a curriculum that is directly responsive to the specific risks in your school's immediate area, such as antisocial behaviour or sexual offences.
- Comprehensive professional support: Teachers are provided with Lesson Road Maps, CPD videos, and teacher guides to ensure they feel prepared and confident to deliver sensitive content.
Pol-Ed is already a trusted resource, with 63% of Norfolk schools (287 schools) currently registered. Since July 2025, more than 80,000 pupils have accessed these lessons. The resources are aimed at each year group from Early Years through to Post-16 resources and are accessible from a website with downloadable material.
