What is Making Sense of SEND?   

Making Sense of SEND brings services together in one place to support families.

  • With over 20 SEND services in one place.  Information stands offering advice, guidance and information. An opportunity to speak to services in person, discover new services who may be able to help
  • Listen to an informative talk
  • Opportunities to give feedback on experiences with an EHCP or SEND advisor representative
  • Connect with other parent/carers in a similar position 

Who is it for?   

Making Sense of SEND is a free event for parents and carers, families of children and young people with SEND, and professionals working with them.  

When and where is the next event?

  • Wednesday 8 July 2026, 10am-12pm   
  • North Lynn Discovery Centre, Columbia Way, King's Lynn PE30 2LA  

What's happening at the next event?  

  • An informative talk on Working together with schools - creating stronger partnerships through effective conversations given by Niamh Keane SENDIASS Manager.  
  • Tell us and we will listen: Some representatives from the EHCP and SEND advisor teams will be available to hear feedback. Spaces bookable on the day.  
  • SEND advisors available to offer advice and support.   

How can schools help?

  • Tell your families about it. Parents and carers have told us they are more likely to attend if a trusted person tells them about it.   
  • Send out the attached flyer (PDF, 174 KB) to all families - please contact us by emailing [email protected] if you would like physical copies of the flyer sent to you.  
  • Remind families who will benefit to book on and come along.   

Can children attend?

Children can attend with a parent or carer.
