Accessing the New Learning Management System
Schools are invited to sign up to the new Learning Management System, which will become the home of eLearning and training bookings from September.
The new system will host a wide range of learning and development activity, including the online Steps training programme, and is intended to make it easier for schools to access training and professional learning opportunities across the academic year. Registration is simple and straightforward, and simply requires signing up with a school email address and agreeing to the platform's privacy notice. To maintain access to online learning for the next academic year, please encourage all of your staff to self-register before 20 July. Please note that actual courses will be migrated over the summer; you may not see all of the available courses but we are working behind the scenes to ensure that these are ready ahead of September.
Any training bookings for the academic year 2026-27 will be transferred to the new platform following the closure of the S4S system, as notified previously in this recent news article. We are working with the Contracts Team to ensure a smooth transition.
For chargeable courses, some payment arrangements may need to be processed separately as we transition away from S4S. We will endeavour to ensure that there is as little friction to this process as possible, and many users will not be affected.
How to sign up
Simply visit skills.norfolk.gov.uk and click 'Create New Account'. Please make sure you use your individual school email address, as this is how Norfolk schools will be authenticated and allows you to have an individual record of learning.
For any issues encountered during sign-up, or for any other questions, please email [email protected].
Registering users ahead of the end of term will help schools maintain uninterrupted access to eLearning and ensure staff can continue to benefit from training and learning development opportunities from the start of the new academic year.
