National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) are among the most effective ways to develop leadership capacity, strengthen school improvement and support succession planning. Whether you are developing middle leaders, preparing future senior leaders or investing in experienced staff, now is the time to align NPQs with your school improvement priorities, appraisal objectives and leadership pipeline.
There is only one funded cohort this academic year, starting in the Autumn Term 2026, and places are limited at both Teaching School Hubs. Eligible funded places are allocated on a first-come basis.
Funding
For Autumn 2026:
- Fully funded for eligible participants: NPQ for SENCOs, NPQ Senior Leadership, NPQ Headship and NPQ Early Years Leadership (for eligible early years settings).
- Schools in the 50% most disadvantaged nationally may also be eligible for fully funded places on specialist NPQs including Leading Teaching, Leading Teacher Development, Leading Behaviour & Culture and Leading Literacy.
