Norfolk Virtual School for Looked After and Previous Looked After Children's 2024/2025 Professional Development Training Offer

The Virtual School for Children in Care, Previously in Care, Children with a Social Worker and Kinship are offering a number of fully funded places for a 12-month membership to The Care Leaders Online, an e-learning provider. The fully-funded support offers a comprehensive and flexible programme, providing schools and settings with the guidance and tools to meet the needs of children and young people (CYP) with English as an additional language (EAL).

From October 2024, schools will be invited to bid for a share of £15 million in capital funding. The funding round aims to deliver up to 300 new or expanded nurseries in its first phase, as part of the government's long-term strategy to make early education more widely available and accessible. This initiative is tied to the government's expansion of childcare support, which will offer 30 hours of free childcare per week for working parents from 2025.
